Friday, October 18, 1946. Disaster in Laramie.
The Rocky Mountain News reported on a terrible aviation accident in Laramie which occurred the day prior.
Pilot error was ultimately determined to be the cause of the accident. The plane had diverted to Laramie from Cheyenne because of the weather, and the weather rapidly deteriorated as he was attempting to land. He maneuvered the aircraft low to the ground, causing the wing to strike the ground and the plane to crash.
